FireFox is rapidly becoming standard browser around the world. Because of its safe and standard browsing, it is becoming popular. Firefox can be extended with many extensions available at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ . They are also known as Add-ons.

There are lots of web developer extensions availabe for FireFox which makes a web designer life easier. I would like to list some of them which are very "cannot live without" it extensions for designers.

1. IE Tab

2. Web Developer

Adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools. This extension is amazing one and it should be the designers' first extension. Once you start using it, you wont use FF without it.

3. ColorZilla

Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies.

I have been using Photoshop to pick a color and use it in the CSS or html things. You know how much time it takes top open Photoshop on a slower machine. Just to pick a color using photoshop may be a silly thing. Here ColorZilla comes useful to pick color from any web page. Not only from images, also from texts, it can pick color.

4. HTML Validator

If you want to design a standard website , then you need it. uiHTML Validator is a Mozilla extension that adds HTML validation inside Firefox and Mozilla. The number of errors of a HTML page is seen on the form of an icon in the status bar when browsing.

The details of the errors are seen when looking the HTML source of the page.

The extension is based on Tidy. Tidy, was originally developed by the Web Consortium W3C. And now extended and improved by a lot of persons. Tidy is embedded inside Mozilla/Firefox and makes the validation locally on your machine, without sending HTML to a third party server.

5. Measure it

As the name suggests, You can measure any part of the webpage with this, so you can find the height and width in pixels.

6. Cache Status

Update and Clear the RAM and Hard disk cache. In just 2 clicks you can clear cache.

7. SEO Quake

Quick view of site parameters in the Search Engine Results Pages "SERP"(Google, Yahoo, MSN, Yandex, Rambler are supported). Some IP and domain tools are included. and SEObar indicate some SE-dependent parameters

Well, i have given very few of them. But all are diamond on the crown of FireFox for a developer. I will be adding more once developers develop such great extensions.
